Chapter 1: The Incident at Lohagad Fort
26-year-old Ketan had gone on an adventure trip with his fiancée to celebrate her birthday. Their destination was Lohagad Fort, just 50 km from Pune, at an altitude of 3300 feet above sea level.

Chapter 3: The Rishta & The Wedding
When Ketan's marriage was discussed, his maternal uncle took his proposal to the Goyal family, who were another business family involved in the dry fruit and spice business. These families had known each other for the last 35 years.
As soon as they heard about Ketan, they offered their 20-year-old daughter Siya Goyal's hand. Initially Ketan's family was hesitant because Siya was 6 years younger than Ketan. But after constant persuasion from the Goyal family, Mr. Vishal agreed and their engagement was done in February 2026.

But Ketan was saved before falling into the gorge by holding onto a tree. As soon as Siya knew Ketan was still alive, she started acting relieved and made an excuse that a snake was about to bite him, so she had panicked and pushed him. Ketan, who trusted Siya completely, believed her and even thanked and hugged her for saving his life.

Chetan had left his phone with his employees so police could not trace him to Lohagad and came with one of his employee's phones. He was wearing a typical trekker outfit but with a hoodie in such heat so his face was not clearly visible in cameras. He was quietly following Ketan and Siya like a shadow.
To enter Lohagad Fort you need a ticket, but Chetan did not take one. He lied to the security guard that he was going for exercise and not to the fort. Since there is no high-end security, he easily went inside.
Police also got CCTV footage from 24 hours before the incident where Chetan and Siya were seen meeting at a cafe, laughing and talking. Police believe they discussed their plan one last time there.
