How to Make 2D Animation Stories with AI - Full Step by Step 2026 | No Team, No Money

The 2D Animation story you are watching right now? It was not made in any animation studio. And I did not hire any script writer, story artist, or video editor.

I made this whole story using just 2 simple AI tools. And you can also make it.

Earlier, to make this type of animation story you needed an expert team. It took months and cost a lot of money. But now AI has changed the whole game. Now you can do the same work from home with just a Mobile + Laptop. No expert team needed.

Let's start.

Step 1: Generate Story Ideas - Using ChatGPT

First, open ChatGPT. Because we will generate ideas and write the story there.

I have made a Master Prompt. Just copy it.

Master Prompt:
Generate 50 Original Copyright Free Animated Moral Story Ideas for YouTube.
40% Village Story, 25% Kids Story, 20% Animal Story, 10% Family Emotional Story, 5% Magical Moral Story.

Click Send. ChatGPT will give you 50 unique stories in 1 second.

Example:
1. The Dishonest Milkman - A milkman used to mix water in milk every day. When his child got sick, the whole village refused to help him.

If you want more, just type More. It will give 50 more stories. If you want only 10, just change 50 to 10 in the prompt.

Step 2: Break Story into Scenes

Now pick 1 story you want to make a video on.

Prompt:
Add Story Title: The Dishonest Milkman
Break this story into 8 scenes step by step.

ChatGPT will break the whole story into 8 scenes for you.
Important: Do all this in the same Chat so ChatGPT remembers the context.

Step 3: Make Video Prompts + Dialogues for Each Scene

Now we need video prompts for each scene.

Prompt:
For each scene above, give me 10 second Video Prompts in 2D Cartoon Animation Style.
Face of characters must be consistent.
Dialogue must be natural with Character Name.

ChatGPT will give:
Scene 1: Raghu - "Come, get fresh cow milk"

Step 4: Create Consistent Characters - Using Google Flow

This is the most important step. So your character looks the same in every scene.

Character Prompt:
Give me character prompts with names for all characters.
Face must be consistent. Multiple angles: Front, Side, Back.
4K Output.

Now go to Google Flow > Character > Paste Prompt > Generate

Raghu, Chintu, Grandma... all characters will be ready. Do NOT select voice here or you will get English accent. Google Flow will give natural Hindi voice automatically.

Step 5: Convert Scenes into Video

  1. Open Google Flow
  2. Paste the Scene Prompt from Step 3
  3. Wherever you see Raghu, put @ and select the Raghu character
  4. Settings: Size = 16:9, Model = Omni Flash, Duration = 8 Sec
  5. Click Generate

Do this for all 8 scenes.

Pro Tip for Low Credits:

Download all characters and upload them to a new Google account. You can continue the same story with the same characters.

Step 6: Combine All Clips into 1 Long Video

  1. Download all 10 sec clips
  2. In Google Flow click + Button > Add to Clip
  3. Add all scenes one by one
  4. Click Download

And done! Your full Long Form 2D Animation Story is ready.
